Orders and weekly menu

Simply create an account By completing your personal profile, you have various communication options, including the weekly menu. Every Saturday morning, we send you the weekly menu to inform you of the available choices. This communication not only reminds you about placing your order, but also specifies which of your favourite dishes are on the menu.

You also have the option of receiving a friendly reminder of the week's menu. With this option, if you have not yet placed your order, we will send you a reminder on Wednesday, which is the deadline for ordering.

For those who do not have an email, we can provide a printed menu for the following week with the order delivered to you. All you have to do is ask.

There are 2 options for ordering:

  • Not computer savvy? Consult the menu under the "Weekly menu" tab and call us at 450 656-8195.

Each week, a new menu is available starting Saturday morning. You can order between Saturday and Wednesday midnight by internet or before 4pm by phone.

However, should you forget to order, contact us by email or phone as soon as possible. It is important to leave us your choices (specify the format and quantity), your name and contact information (phone and email) to contact you. We will confirm if dishes are available at the end of our production on Saturday afternoon. In most cases, we can accommodate you.

No. You must always order in advance as we do not have an inventory on site for sale at the counter. We prepare only what is ordered, this way we guarantee dishes of exemplary freshness.

It is not possible to change or cancel an order by yourself. You must send your request to our customer service by phone or email before 5pm on Wednesday.

It is not possible to change the composition of a dish, to add more vegetables and less meat, for example, since all our recipes are standardized, i.e. all the ingredients used are carefully thought out, in order to always offer you the same taste for the same dish, from one time to the next. In addition, we offer precise menus to offer the best possible variety to our customers.

Payment and Gift Certificate

For a pickup:

  • Online (Visa or Mastercard) when you place your order
  • On site by terminal (debit, Visa, Mastercard)
  • By cash
  • With Jean Bouffe gift certificates

For a delivery:

  • Online (Visa or Mastercard) when you place your order
  • In cash to your delivery person
  • With Jean Bouffe gift certificates to your delivery person

Most of the products offered at Jean Bouffe are non-taxable. Generally, only single serving cold meals and delivery charges are taxable. Taxable products are specifically identified by an asterisk (*).

You can pay with gift certificates for both pick-up and delivery. When placing your order, at the last step of payment, please select the Payment on Pick-up (for a pick-up) or Payment on Delivery (for a delivery) option.

Just hand in the gift certificates as payment. If the invoice amount is not a multiple of 20, you can complete the payment in cash or the other way around,, we will refund you the difference in cash. For a pickup, you can combine payment with our other payment methods.

You can buy gift certificates through our website. Please complete this form and we will contact you to complete the transaction on the next business day. Please note that gift certificates are available in $20 increments.

Delivery and Pickup

You may choose delivery or pick up your order at our kitchen. If you choose delivery, it is possible to receive your order at your home or workplace if you are listed in our delivery areas.

Of course! Just place your order via our website, then you can pick up your order at our kitchen in Longueuil.

Currently, we only deliver to the following areas. However, if you believe you are located near one of our delivery areas, we may be able to make the delivery. Place your request by completing this form, and we will contact you to inform you of our decision.

  • Saturday, between 9 am and 1 pm
  • Sunday, between 5 pm and 9 pm
  • Monday, between 9 am and 4 pm

Please note that during holidays, our delivery times may vary. Moreover, for reasons beyond our control, such as very bad weather conditions, a traffic problem or a major mechanical failure on a delivery vehicle could delay or prevent the delivery of your order within the chosen period. In this case, a customer service coordinator or your delivery person will contact you as soon as possible to arrange a new delivery. We will do everything in our power to accommodate you as best we can.

  • South Shore: Candiac, La Prairie, Brossard, St-Lambert, Longueuil, St-Hubert, Le Moyne, Greenfield Park, Boucherville, St-Bruno-de-Montarville, Varennes, St-Basil-le-Grand, St-Philippe, Chambly, Carignan.
  • Island of Montreal: Downtown, South Centre, Pointe-Saint-Charles, St-Henri, Plateau Mont-Royal, Outremont, Town of Mount Royal, Côte-des-Neiges, Westmount, Nun’s Island.

No delivery charges will be applied to an order of $50.00 or more (before taxes). Otherwise, a delivery charge of $4.35 plus taxes (total of $5.00) will be added to your invoice.

Due to the significant increase in fuel costs, there is a fuel surcharge of $1.74 plus taxes (total of $2.00) on each delivery.

Note that when you choose to pick up your order, you save 5%, up to $5.00, without any fuel surcharge obviously.

During a holiday all usual delivery periods generally remain the same. When you place your order via our website, delivery date choices take holidays into account, if any.

You can inform us of any delivery changes by email (info@jeanbouffe.com) or by phone before the period previously chosen. I If there is no answer, leave us a message and we will take it into account.

Yes, it is possible to have your order delivered to another address, as long as it is in our delivery areas. When placing your order, choose "Other temporary address" in the delivery options and provide the necessary information.

  • Saturday, between 8:30 am and 2 pm
  • Sunday, between 12 pm and 5 pm
  • Monday, between 8:30 am and 6 pm (Tuesday, between 8:30 am and 5 pm if Monday is a holiday)

A 5% discount will then be granted to you up to a maximum of $5.00.

It is always possible to pick up your order during the week, however your products not be as fresh if you delay pickup.

Methods of preparation, storage and allergies

On each dish, you will find the detailed preparation method in order to obtain the best possible result. Note that if you are used to cooking, you can take the liberty of reheating the dishes as you wish by your cookware.

In general, we suggest reheating cooked dishes in a conventional oven rather than in a microwave oven to fully enjoy all flavours. Meals in sauce, such as stews, chilis and soups, can very well be warmed up in a saucepan. Also, during summer, we offer dishes to cook and/or reheat on the barbecue.

You will notice that some dishes display a microwave oven symbol : Microwave oven symbol . This symbol indicates that you can heat them in the microwave by making sure to prepare individual portions on plates beforehand. Using the microwave oven instead of a conventional oven can slightly alter taste and texture, but if you are in a hurry, this option can be appropriate. We do not recommend reheating your dishes in the microwave if the symbol is not shown, as the taste and texture of the food will be greatly altered.

The expiry date is displayed on each product. This information is available on the week's menu as well as on product labels. We suggest taking note of these dates in order to properly plan your meals during the week.

The shelf life of our products depends on the type of food, ingredients and date of preparation. We always prepare our meals in order to guarantee maximum freshness and maximum shelf life without adding preservatives.

Soups, salads, starters, main courses and classic dishes are usually offered in portions for two or four people. In addition, in the classic meals category , some are available in small or large sizes, such as quiches and pâtés. Desserts are generally available in a single format, such as banana bread, which is easily suitable for 6 to 8 servings. Meal salads and wraps are available in individual formats that are perfectly suited for a work lunch.

At Jean Bouffe, the portions are generous and the dishes for four people are exactly twice the quantities of the dishes for two.

We use mainly two types of packaging. For dishes that heat up in the oven, we use aluminum containers. For salads and dishes in sauce, we use hermetically sealed plastic containers. Some products may also be packaged in oxo-degradable polystyrene foam containers.

As all plastic or aluminum containers are recyclable, we recommend that you recycle them. Moreover, plastic containers are very convenient for storing food instead of buying other disposable containers.

We offer a few vegetarian options on each weekly menu. The available vegetarian meals display this symbol: Vegetarian symbol. The vegetarian symbol is located within the meal description and on the meal sticker. At Jean Bouffe, a vegetarian meal does not contain animal meat such as beef, pork, chicken, and fish. However, dairy products, eggs and fish sauce may be present in our vegetarian dishes.

No. All of our products are fresh, never frozen.

All dishes are sold fresh, never frozen. However, some dishes display a freezing symbol : Freezer symbol  . This symbol indicates that you can freeze the product without affecting its taste or texture (or very slightly in some cases). If you freeze a dish that does not display this symbol, the quality of the food will be reduced, in some cases it will simply be bad, and will not match what we want to offer you.

To thaw a product that you have frozen, it is recommended to let it thaw in the refrigerator for about 24 hours.

Jean Bouffe always provides the list of ingredients for each dish. You therefore have the necessary information to place your order according to your food allergies and intolerance. We would ask you to check the ingredients before placing your order. Although we do our utmost to offer you the best products and services, it is impossible for us to take into account everyone's allergies and requirements because we standardize our recipes and methods. It is therefore impossible to make a recipe specifically according to a customer's allergies.

As a result, informing us of your food allergies does not guarantee that your order is free of these ingredients. In addition, although we pay particular attention when handling food and work tools, there is always a risk of cross-contamination as in any similar food production establishment. We therefore leave it to you to assess the risks before placing your order.
